The Academic Cornerstone

Star Meadows Academy is an accredited, year-round, secondary school (grades 7-12) located on-site at Hope Ranch.  Because it is on-site, the students do not go to public schools - thus, they are not distracted or influenced by factors which may have helped lead to their enrollment at Hope Ranch.

Upon enrollment, each student’s academic record is checked, their learning style is assessed, an individualized learning plan is developed, and they are scheduled in classes according to their individual needs.  Student schedules are monitored on a quarterly basis to see that they are meeting graduation requirements as well as taking appropriately challenging classes.  An average teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6 is maintained.  In addition to its rigorous academic offerings, this cornerstone includes an outdoor education/wilderness component for those willing and able to take advantage of it.

Star Meadows Academy is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.  Transfer credits will be accepted from other accredited institutions and, with appropriate documentation, from home schools.  Students who complete the program with at least the 22 credits listed below may earn a high school diploma, and transcripts will be provided for those continuing their education at another setting.
