The Spiritual Cornerstone
Hope Ranch is a non-denominational, faith-based therapeutic boarding school. Each student enrolled at Hope Ranch undertakes a “Journey of Hope” – a multi-level curriculum that includes, with the leadership and mentorship of our Youth Pastor, the study of the Bible, undertaking a series of spiritual tasks, on-site chapel services, off-Ranch church services, and spiritual counseling to assist them in diverting from their disruptive behaviors, healing their bodies and spirits, and understanding the importance of, and committing to, a life of Christian integrity.
Though a faith-based program, we cannot force Christianity or any spritual belief on any student. Every student's spirituality is a personal choice and decision, and the program and staff at Hope Ranch support and respect whatever decision the student makes.
Statement of Faith
We believe that:
· There is one eternal God, the Creator, existing in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
· The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.
· Jesus Christ is both God and man, who was born of the Virgin Mary, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, and raised from the dead. He ascended to Heaven and now sits at God the Father’s right hand, interceding for us. He will return to the earth in power, glory and judgment.
· The Holy Spirit glorifies God by living in, guiding and empowering believers and convicting people of their sins.
· God created people in His image, but we rebelled against Him and fell into sin, from which we are helpless to save ourselves. Jesus died to save all those who trust in Him.
· All people who trust in Jesus are His body, the church, which He calls to service and God’s Kingdom.
· Service in God’s Kingdom means loving God with all our hearts, minds and souls, and loving others as ourselves.
Loving others includes sharing our love for Jesus and caring for their physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs.
